Inventive

The go-getter is inventive.  Thomas Edison was an inventor that held 1,093 U.S. patents. He was a go-getter. So it checks out.

Apologizing

The go-getter isn't afraid to apologize.  They may be afraid of spiders though.

Decision Making

The go-getter isn't afraid to make decisions.  Ideally they are good decisions.

Learning

Nobody knows it all.  The go-getter understands this is and willing to learn from others.  Each person has their own strengths and weaknesses; relationships with others is like a network of nodes with nobody knowing everything that another node knows.  Ya know?

Synergy

The law of conservation states that mass cannot be created nor destroyed.  First grade math states that 1+1=2.  Synergy is more or less defined as the sum of two "things" being greater than the two seperatley (i.e. 1+1 =3).  The go-getter questions if synergies have actually been proven or are more of a myth for those seeking shortcuts.

Risk

Sometimes taking risk is necessary and one shouldn't be afraid of risk.  However if we are talking about the board game Risk, then you should not take it from somebody else and should be afraid of how long the gameplay is.  The go-getter acknowledges that risk is sometimes necessary and can be a good thing but that Risk just takes too long.

Communication Skills

Communication skills are of the utmost importance at the workplace.  If one cannot communicate how will anything get done?  The go-getter responds to electronic mail, then physically finds the person to read the previously mentioned electronic mail out loud to them while making excessive head and hand gestures.  The go-getter demonstrates mastery of written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.

Running

Running can be a good outlet for excess energy and help clear the mind.  The go-getter sometimes literally wears their running shoes.

Hustle

The more one hustles the more one can get done.  The go-getter figuratively wears their running shoes.

Time Management

Time is the one resource of which we cannot obtain more.  Finding ways to utilize small chunks of time productively is one way the go-getter separates themselves from the pack.  One could hypothetically write blog posts on a train.

Be Proactive

It is best to be proactive instead of reactive.  What do you call a go-getter that is reactive?  That's a trick question; that's not a thing.  But if it were that go-getter would be a re-gretter.

Follow Through

Lots of people say they'll do lots of things they will never complete or even start.  The go-getter always follows through to and beyond expectations.

The Finish Line

There are always improvements to be made and actions to be taken.  There is no finish line.  There is no got-getter, go-gotten, or got-gotten.  There is only the go-getter.

Helping Others #1

Helping others achieve more allows for more to be accomplished.  Converting others into go-getters allows the go-getter to be even more productive.  Go-getters help others.  Go-getters start blogs about go-getting.

Lunch Tip #1

Ordering ahead allows the go-getter to spend less of their time in line when they go-get food.

Arrival Time

Sometimes it is a good idea to get into the office a little early.  This will give you extra time for go-getting and go-getting is what the go-getter does.
